Just for grins... I was testing to be sure my new Vivicam x30 (dirt cheap from Woot.com!) was working and I snapped off a pic of my desk. I then thought boy, computer alcoves are highly personal, aren't they... I wonder what other people's look like. Are they neat and tidy? A shambles (like mine)?

If you're so bold, let us see what your "work" area looks like. I'll break the ice. ^_^

Holy cow... CCS? That was a former life, buddy! Just to clarify, we didn't help translate it. Axia, our head translator, translated it herself. We mastered the SVHS and Hi8 tapes using the Japanese original Laserdiscs and placed subtitles using my Amiga 4000, a Supergenlock, and the JacoSub software. Timing was created using SubStation Alpha. When the tapes were later put into digital format, it was not done by our group, but by some overzealous fans who wanted to spread the series.

CCS has since been licensed in the US by Nelvana and can be purchased on DVD.

I completely agree with you about the English. While not nearly the quality translation OURS was *ahem*, the subtitled version of CCS domestic isn't so bad.

As for my PC stats, I don't use my computer to fansub so much anymore, but here's what I've got for my main PC, Ririka:

I like Astra32 for system stats, but it's a demo version so I'm being sneaky and screencapping it. Razz
