Okay, so I finally upgraded my Tivo software to allow me to automatically convert files from .tivo to formats readable by my PSP, iPod, etc. I have to say, I'm impressed with the automatic transfer capability. What I wasn't expecting (and was pleasantly surprised by) was for my networked Tivos to pick up and transfer mpgs sitting on my PC and play them to my living room and bedroom TVs. This is great for someone (like me) who wants to watch fansubs or missed episodes of Lost without sitting in front of my PC or going through the arduous process of burning DVDs or converting the files to wmv for my XBox 360/Media Center setup.
I guess some people actually have no issue with watching stuff on their PCs. What about you? Are you more likely to watch stuff on your computer or on a dedicated TV?
